HVLP stands for High Volume Low Pressure. Paint Blast is an HVLP spray gun that uses a high volume of air at low pressure to atomise paint into a fine mist. This results in providing a smooth, even coating while minimising overspray and paint wastage. Ideal for both beginners and professionals.
What type of paints and varnishes can be used with Paint Blast?
Paint Blast is suitable for use with a wide range of paints including water-based paints, oil-based paints, varnish, enamels, sealers & more.
Note: no structural paints can be processed with this paint sprayer, as these could clog the multi-function nozzle. Please also refrain from using synthetic resin varnishes, as these could damage the paint sprayer.

What preparatory work needs to be done before using Paint Blast for the first time?
Before using Paint Blast for the first time, make sure that the work area is clean and dust-free. All areas that are not to be treated with Paint Blast must be properly covered or taped off. Please check that all parts are correctly assembled (as described in the instruction manual included).
How do I dilute the paint correctly?
Before diluting the paint, pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions and the condition of the surface.
Water-based paints can be diluted with water. Oil-based paints must be diluted with a special thinner for oil paints or according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If the paint is already very thin, it may only need to be diluted a little. If the paint is very thick, it may need to be diluted several times until it has reached the right consistency to be processed with Paint Blast.
Dilute slowly and gradually: Add the respective thinner only in small amounts and mix thoroughly until the desired consistency is achieved (as described in the instruction manual included).
What is viscosity and how do you measure it?
Viscosity refers to the thickness or viscosity of the paint. Viscosity can be checked using the viscosity funnel (Viscometer) included in the packaging.
Proceed as follows:
· Make sure the viscosity funnel is clean and dry before use
· Stir the paint to be tested thoroughly to ensure a uniform consistency. If necessary, remove any lumps or impurities in the paint using a sieve. These could contaminate the multi-function nozzle.
· Place a finger on the bottom opening of the funnel so that no paint can leak out and fill the funnel with the paint to be tested to the brim.
· Only measure the time when you let the paint run out of the funnel. Be sure to measure the time accurately.
· Stop the timer as soon as the flow of paint stops (i.e. the paint thread breaks or runs through).
· Note the measured time it took for the flow of paint to stop. This time is used to determine the viscosity of the paint.
· Compare the measured time with the paint manufacturer's processing instructions to determine the appropriate viscosity for further processing of the paint.
· After use, clean the viscosity funnel thoroughly to ensure accurate measurement the next time you use it.
Wall and emulsion paints: 70-90 sec. (*AFG)
Primer, gloss varnishes, colored varnishes with solvents or soluble in water: 45 - 50 sec. (*AFG)
Impregnating agents for wood, oils, disinfectants or plant protection products: Undiluted

Can I adjust the outflow and spray pattern of Paint Blast?
Yes! Paint Blast allows you to spray with greater accuracy when painting thanks to its outflow control. The intensity adjustment will allow you to increase or decrease the flow of paint that comes out of the nozzle. Turn the flow adjusting nut clockwise to tighten it and obtain a greater flow of paint or turn it anticlockwise so that the output pressure of the paint is less.
Paint Blast also features three different spray settings for versatile applications - large areas (for bigger projects), small areas (for trim and details), and detail precision painting. TIP: Try each spray pattern to determine which is the most suitable for painting.

Is Paint Blast Heavy?
No! Paint Blast is so lightweight that it can be operated easily with one hand.
What do I do if Paint Blast sprays little or no paint material?
Try these following steps:
· Check the nozzle and suction tube: Make sure the nozzle or suction tube is not blocked. Clean if necessary.
· Viscosity of the paint: Check the viscosity of the paint. If it is too thick, it could block the spray system. Thin the paint according to the instructions.
· Make sure the sealing ring is properly fitted between the paint container and the base of the machine. If the seal is not properly seated or is missing, pressure cannot be built up inside the machine.
How do I clean Paint Blast?
Paint Blast is designed for easy cleaning. Full instructions on cleaning are included in the instruction manual. Always consult your instruction manual before use. After each use, it’s important to:
· Switch off and unplug the unit.
· Press the trigger to remove excess material from inside.
· Unscrew the paint container. Empty the diluted paint into a separate container or dispose of it properly. Paint that has already been diluted should not be emptied back into the original container.
· Pour a small amount of a suitable water or oil-based cleaning solution into the paint spray container and clean it.
· Dispose of the cleaning solution properly in accordance with the relevant regulations.
· Fill the container with a small amount of fresh, unused cleaning solution. Replace the container on the unit, plug in the power supply and switch it on. In a safe area, spray the cleaning solution into an empty container until the cleaning solution is sprayed out without any paint contamination.
· Dismantle the union nut, multi-position regulator, nozzle and suction tube to clean them with the solvent as well.
